LoAn D. Nguyen has worked in Human Resources for more than 10 years, handling everything under the HR umbrella, including recruiting, benefits administration, employee relations, creating policy and procedures, and management coaching. She also has experience with planning company events and implementing engagement programs to promote company culture and improve employee retention. LoAn has worked in a variety of industries, from nonprofit to radio to software.
At HMMH, LoAn is responsible for the overall strategy, administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resource function. She provides employee performance management, compensation, and broader Human Resources functions. LoAn is a trusted advisor to business leaders as she develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company employees to ensure maintenance of a positive, productive, fair, and consistent employment environment.
LoAn recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to support continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. She implements and annually updates the compensation program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; conducts annual salary surveys; analyzes compensation; and monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary. LoAn serves as the liaison with HMMH’s 401(k) provider, supporting the RT trustees administratively (e.g., DOL Form 5500 annual reporting, employee census, new employee orientation to the plan, approval of distributions/rollovers, etc.
