HMMH Senior Consultant Wins ACC Young Professionals Innovation Competition

01.11.2018 |

HMMH is pleased to announce that Senior Consultant Justin Divens is an award-winning team member for the 2017 ACC Young Professionals Innovation Competition. The winning project, “Taxiing Into Autonomy,” was conceived and completed by a team that included Christopher DiPrima and Michelle Fong from San Francisco International Airport (SFO), Joseph Gale from RS&H, and HMMH’s very own Justin Divens

Of the experience, Justin said, “My teammates for this project were great to work with. Everyone was timely, communicated well, and highly professional. I would not hesitate to work with any of them in the future. We also received generous advice and support from NASA, Israel Aerospace Industries, and Lufthansa.”

According to Justin, autonomous vehicles could bring increased safety, efficiency, and control to several industries – including airports. He adds that for this project, he and his teammates chose to focus on airfield towing operations because this type of operation is the most predictable and most promising area to introduce autonomy.

From HMMH President and CEO Mary Ellen Eagan, “As ACC Board Chair, I’m continually amazed by the passion and energy of our Young Professionals. This year, it is even more exciting to have had one of our own YPs recognized – congratulations to Justin Divens and the rest of the team.”
