Joe Czech Joins HMMH as Principal Consultant

Joseph Czech, Joe Czech, Prinicpal Consultant, Federal Programs, HMMHHMMH is pleased to announce that Joseph J. Czech, P.E. has joined the firm as Principal Consultant in the Federal Programs Group and will be based in Southern California. Joe has nearly 30 years of experience in the acoustical consulting field, conducting noise and/or environmental studies for a variety of military and civilian clients.

“I am excited that Joe has decided to bring his expertise to HMMH and look forward to working with him as a valued colleague. More importantly, his joining HMMH reflects our continuous investment in practical research applications, and expands HMMH’s commitment to serve our Federal partners” said Kurt Hellauer, Director of Federal Programs.

Joe brings to HMMH a wealth of military noise measurement and modeling experience, particularly in beddowns of advanced weapons system platforms such as the MV-22 and F-35 aircraft. He previously co-wrote the NMAP 7.0 military aircraft noise modeling software version that first included the effects of topography and terrain on sound propagation. Having helped develop the Advanced Acoustic Model (AAM), a simulation-based noise model, Joe is recognized as an expert in its use. In addition to aircraft noise, Joe is accomplished in traditional noise measurements and other areas of noise and vibration such as transit, highway, construction power/utility and acoustic research, as well as other tools to assess noise effects under NEPA. Additionally, his project work is widely regarded for advances made in impact visualization and strategic risk communication, making complex acoustical concepts readily accessible and understandable for his clients and members of the public alike.
