Raj Lal is a Consultant in the Aviation Environmental and Sustainability group at HMMH, focusing on air quality modeling and data analysis. He has a decade of experience in air quality, climate change, and urban sustainability research and regulatory space. Prior to joining HMMH, Raj was an Environmental Engineer at the U.S. EPA. He received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, was a Fulbright-Kalam Climate Scholar at IIT Bombay, and a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Michigan. He earned his PhD in Environmental Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology where his dissertation, “Improved Air Quality from Sustainable City Development in the United States, India, and China,” received the A&WMA’s best field-wide thesis award.
