Construction & Architecture

The future doesn’t have to be noisy.
Developers, owners and consultants look to HMMH for noise ordinance compliance, noise abatement recommendations and litigation support.

HMMH guides clients through some of the most complex, discrete environmental impact documentation encountered over the course of a project.  We are proud of our robust history of helping our clients navigate federal, state and local environmental requirements, as well as finding resolutions to compliance disputes.

HMMH assists building developers and architectural clients in meeting specific acoustical design and performance requirements in new and existing buildings. We provide the most accurate and comprehensive noise measurement and monitoring services, including short-term and continuous long-term outdoor attended monitoring, and diagnostic sound isolation measurements inside buildings.

During construction, we solve noise and vibration problems for transportation systems, industrial facilities, buildings and public works projects through all phases; from environmental assessment preparation, to mitigation recommendations, to specifications development for contract documents. We also conduct hydroacoustic assessments to assess the potential noise impacts of pile-driving activity for projects ranging from bridge construction and replacement projects, to ferry terminal construction projects.

From an engineering perspective, HMMH’s work is very well thought out. It navigates a difficult multi-dimensional space very well. The information was also explained in a thoroughly logical presentation, which appeals to a scientist as well as a layperson. Indeed that is a difficult balance to achieve.
