Michael holds a B.S. in Meteorology and an Executive MBA with a focus on Environmental Compliance and Sustainability. He is a certified Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Professional through the National Association of Safety Professionals, with more than 18 years of senior-level management experience in public affairs, sustainability, climate change, environmental management, air quality permitting, and EH&S. Michael possesses deep knowledge of the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol and extensive hands-on experience with climate disclosure frameworks and standards, including SASB, TCFD, GRI, and SBTi. He has notably supported the U.S. Park Service by providing fire condition forecasts for controlled burns, including air quality assessments. In previous roles, Michael has led initiatives such as strategic planning, EH&S compliance tracking, climate change metrics, and corporate supply chain GHG accounting. He is also experienced with most EPA emission and dispersion models, including those outlined in the Guideline on Air Quality Models – Appendix W, as well as alternative EPA models.
