As a Managing Consultant and AEDT Practice Lead in HMMH’s Aviation Environmental and Sustainability group, Aofei Li works on a variety of environmental and noise studies for airport clients. He specializes in noise and air quality modeling using the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA’s) Aviation Environmental Design Tool (AEDT), provides technical guidance on complex AEDT modeling efforts, and performs acoustical measurements in the field.
As AEDT Practice Lead, Aofei provides leadership and coordination across HMMH’s AEDT modeling practice, focusing on resource planning, modeler development and training, QA/QC, process improvement, automation, and technical consistency. He supports the AEDT Academy, advances modeling workflows and standards, and coordinates with IT and technical leadership on AEDT software, AWS infrastructure, and related systems. He also represents HMMH through the AEDT User Group, SAE A-21, FAA/ASCENT activities, and other industry initiatives.
Aofei is proficient in Microsoft Access and SQL Server, Python, Noise and Operations Monitoring Systems (NOMS), GIS, NoiseMap, and Terminal Area Route Generation Evaluation and Traffic Simulation (TARGETS).
