HMMH President and CEO Mary Ellen Eagan was selected by Simmons School of Management (SOM) as the recipient of the 2015 Phyllis Rappaport Alumnae Achievement Award. The Rappaport Award is given every year to a SOM alumna who has not only succeeded in her chosen career, but found time to give back and reached beyond the norm in supporting the efforts of others to grow and develop.

The Rappaport Award was established through a gift from Jerome Lyle Rappaport to honor his wife, a member of the first Simmons School of Management graduating class. Award criteria include: achieving a new and far reaching goal; entering and succeeding in areas previously closed to women; displaying remarkable competency and courage; and creating or supporting a network of women that leads to opening new career paths. Ms. Eagan’s nomination letter and supporting documentation, which described her many achievements over the past 30 years, made it clear that she is a most deserving candidate.

Ms. Eagan received the Rappaport Award from during a ceremony held at Simmons School of Management on May 13, 2015.
