HMMH has been providing on-call environmental assistance to Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) since July 2013. HMMH’s assignments have included: noise analyses for a number of Environmental Impact Reports; evaluations of potential locations of ground engine run-up enclosures (GREs); review and evaluation of the Southern California Metroplex EA for proposed implementation of NextGen flight procedures; development of the Acoustical Test Plan for the LAX residential sound insulation programs; and determination of the percentage of jets operations at Van Nuys Airport that are certified as louder than Stage 3.
