David P. Marcial

Consultant Specializing in Aviation and Sustainability

David Marcial is an Consultant in HMMH’s Aviation Environmental & Sustainability group, where he supports aviation noise, vibration, and air quality projects. He brings a strong technical foundation in meteorology and atmospheric science, with experience translating complex environmental datasets into clear, decision-supporting insights.

David’s background includes meteorological field data analysis for applications such as fire weather, urban-scale particulate pollution, and offshore wind energy. As a Graduate Research Assistant, he has developed automated data visualization tools for real-time environmental monitoring, evaluated uncertainty in modeled atmospheric processes using large observational datasets, contributed to peer-reviewed technical reports, and presented research findings at national conferences.

David is proficient in Python, ArcGIS Pro, MATLAB, R, and Linux-based workflows, and applies these tools to data processing, visualization, and analysis tasks relevant to aviation environmental studies. He holds a B.S. in Meteorology and Atmospheric Science, with a minor in GIS, from The Pennsylvania State University and an M.S. in Atmospheric Science from SUNY Albany.
