Joseph J. Czech, PE

Principal Consultant Specializing in Federal Programs and Aviation

Joe is a Principal Consultant at HMMH with more than 30 years of experience in the acoustical consulting field. He primarily manages and contributes to projects and clients in the Federal Programs and Aviation Services sectors. Although his expertise and passion is in the modeling, measurement and research of aircraft noise, Joe’s career has afforded him experience in many other facets of acoustics, including: road traffic/highway, construction, construction/architecture noise blast/explosive ordnance, sonic boom, small arms and federal noise regulations. He has managed dozens of projects, including special/customized studies, AICUZ/RAICUZ and NEPA adherence related to 14 CFR Part 150. Joe also has extensive experience with international work; ranging in value from less than $10,000 up to $1.5 million for a variety of military and civilian clients. Joe has been particularly adept to public meeting and litigation support.
Joe holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from California State Polytechnic University. He is a licensed professional mechanical engineer in California, North Carolina and Oregon. He is currently working out of our Anaheim, CA office.

With his love of aircraft, Joe wants to be a private pilot someday. He currently enjoys spending time with his wife and guiding his teenage and adult kids. In Joe’s (limited) leisure time, he plays the piano, tennis and hikes.
