Sara Huelsman is a Senior Technical Analyst in the Aviation Environmental and Sustainability group at HMMH. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in acoustics from the University of Hartford and a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Her graduate research focused on aircraft acoustics, and she published a thesis titled, “An Acoustical-Based Approach to Conceptual Design of Non-Traditional Rotorcraft Configurations.” Sara has supported FAA research efforts, including ASCENT Project 43 related to Noise Power Distance metrics. She is experienced with ANOPP, WOPWOP, Python, AEDT, SQL, and MATLAB, and also supports the development of HMMH’s proprietary in-house tools.
