Tara Cruz is based in the New York City metro area and brings over a decade of experience in managing and conducting noise and vibration assessments for a wide range of projects nationwide. While much of her work focuses on transportation, particularly highway and rail/transit, she also provides expert guidance on noise and vibration issues for construction, commercial, and industrial developments.
Tara is highly skilled in the use of FHWA’s Traffic Noise Model, FHWA’s Roadway Construction Noise Model, SoundPLAN GmbH, and ArcGIS. She has extensive experience applying noise and vibration prediction procedures outlined in the Federal Transit Administration’s Noise and Vibration Impact Assessment manual and New York City’s CEQR Technical Manual. In addition to modeling analysis, Tara has extensive knowledge of noise and vibration monitoring instrumentation and maintains her technical proficiency through ongoing fieldwork. She is recognized by New York City as an approved noise consultant.
Tara holds a B.S. in Meteorology from Millersville University of Pennsylvania.
