Yue Xu is a Lead Technical Analyst in HMMH’s Aviation Environmental & Sustainability group. He specializes in Aviation Environmental Design Tool (AEDT) analysis for noise and emissions and supports the development of advanced technical tools and analytical methods. A seasoned AEDT user and member of the AEDT User Review Group, Yue brings extensive experience in aviation environmental analysis, forecasting, and simulation.
His experience includes supporting NEPA and CEQA documentation for the FAA, airport sponsors and agencies, and state departments of transportation. He is well versed in applying FHWA- and FAA-approved models to evaluate noise, air quality, and climate impacts associated with aviation and transportation projects. Yue has worked closely with federal, state, and local stakeholders to provide accurate modeling and clear, defensible documentation of environmental impacts associated with proposed actions.
Yue is proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, SQL Server, VBA, MATLAB, GIS, AirTOP, TNM, AEDT, and NoiseMap.
