Trent Tougas is a Senior Consultant in the Aviation Environmental & Sustainability group at HMMH. He graduated from Plymouth State University with a B.S. in meteorology and a master’s in applied meteorology. He is a dynamic member of the HMMH team with proficiency in Impact-Based Decision Support Services (IDSS), including experience developing multiple IDSS briefing formats such as a One-Pagers, Weather Snapshots, and Event Briefings.
Trent has experience in aviation emissions and dispersion modeling utilizing the FAA’s Aviation Environmental Design Tool (AEDT), as well as roadway emissions modeling using EMFAC, the California Emissions Estimator Model® (CalEEMod), the Motor Vehicle Emissions Model (MOVES), Texas specific emissions Models (TexN2), and the Airport Carbon and Emissions Reporting Tool (ACERT) for airport carbon emission inventories. He also has in-depth knowledge of NEPA, CEQA, and CEQR, as well as VALE grant applications.
He has also contributed to multiple electrification studies, conducting research into airport landside vehicles such as airport vehicles, maintenance, parking, taxi, buses, and other transportation network companies.
