Solar Energy Feasibility Assessment, General Mitchell International Airport
HMMH prepared a feasibility study of locating solar photovoltaic (PV) panels and small wind turbines on the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Systems Integration Facility (TSIF) building located at Reagan National Airport. The study included evaluating the potential impacts at the FAA’s Air Traffic Control Tower, NAVAIDs, and aircraft consistent with the FAA’s Interim Policy on Solar Energy System Projects.
