National Harbor Mixed-Use Development Noise Evaluation
HMMH evaluated expected noise impacts and potential community reaction related to a proposed water park in the surrounding large-lot residential community. Our noise measurements of several water rides in a similar park determined the noise emissions from different rides. We modeled the proposed park and projected the expected community reaction to noise from the park under different wind and temperature conditions. We presented and testified to our results and conclusions at a Zoning Board of Appeals hearing.
