HMMH has provided comprehensive airport noise-related consulting services to the Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Aviation Administration Maryland Aviation Administration (MDOT MAA) since 1985, including Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport’s (BWI)’s first Noise Exposure Map (NEM) and Noise Compatibility Program (NCP) in 1989, and subsequent updates. Other assignments have included: noise elements of planning studies for both BWI and Martin State Airport; noise elements of NEPA studies; design, specification, and installation of a comprehensive noise monitoring system; specialized noise studies including evaluation of low frequency noise; quarterly noise preparation and on-site noise office staff support; review of building proposals and zoning cases; and litigation support.
