Gene Reindel has focused the greater part of his career on addressing community noise concerns related to aircraft operations. As Vice President in the Aviation Environmental and Sustainability group at HMMH, he oversees a wide range of aviation noise projects and provides technical support on aviation-related noise studies and noise measurement programs.
Gene is a trained facilitator who leads public outreach efforts for complex and often controversial noise studies and programs. He regularly applies his facilitation training to guide community noise forum-type meetings. In addition, he teaches courses in acoustics, sound measurements and noise modeling, and is widely recognized for his ability to present complex aviation noise topics in a clear and easily understood manner.
Over the last 20 years, Gene has become a recognized leader in the aviation industry. His commitment to excellence in engineering, design, and environmental awareness is proof of his love for all aspects of acoustics, and its critical role in aviation practices. Honoring his success, he received a Randy Jones Award for Excellence in 2023 and a Walt Gillfillan Award in 2025. He has also been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in engineering.
Gene holds a Master of Engineering in Acoustics from The Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelor of Science in Physics Engineering from Pacific Lutheran University.
